SITIA MUNICIPAL PORT FUND
The port of Sitia is one of the 61 Maritime Border Crossing Points (BCP) based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2017/2226 for the implementation of the Entry-Exit System (EES), with our company having undertaken its adaptation to the new Schengen requirements in addition to the support of the ISPS Code implementation.
The port of Sitia is located at the easternmost tip of Crete and is a rising port with significant potential, in combination with the international airport of Sitia which is only 3 km from the port, for operation as a port of origin and termination of cruise travel (homeporting or interporting). Most of the ships it serves are subject to the security measures of the ISPS Code.
